Just got off the phone with Anne from the Idahobusinessreview and thanked her for the article on Premium and the information about the filing of the 782 claims by Premium yesterday which came as a bit of a surprise to myself and am sure others. I asked if there was any indication of claims by Velocity on the same property but was told that I would have to talk to Lynn McClure from the Boise, Idaho BLM office for that information which is public information for all to see. Lynn told me that Velocity would have 90 days to file the claims after staking any property in Idaho and that currently they have a backlog of filings to enter into the computer due to year end. Why Lynn had told Anne about the 782 claims by Premium is that the company was in the Boise BLM office just a hour or two before filing the paperwork for the claims and paying the money for those filings. Lynn told me that in fact two companys could put claims on the same property and it would be left to those companies to rectify any legal differences that may arise as it is out of the hands of the BLM to make any decisions. Lynn directed me to the link on the BLM web-site for the LR2000 User Guide which can be used to check the public records of land claims in the state of Idaho on page 42 - 46. It was said that due to the backlog I should not check for about a week till all the filing has been entered.
