Premier Gold PG.TO PIRGF.PK turned sharply higher at the end of the day on Thursday. Up 22 percent.

Could have just been somebody who really wanted a position in the stock. Volume not extremely heavy, and no new news from Premier.

possibilities include some visible gold coming up in the drill core on one of the three locales where Premier is drilling.

the big banana would be if Goldcorp is about to make an offer to buy Premier.... don't forget, goldcorp already bought gold eagle to consolidate the goldcorp hold on red lake mining district, and premier's jv land with goldcorp includes a chunk that is smack between gold eagle and goldcorp's red lake mining complex.
