Now we know from the short report that those short POET need more than 10 to 14 days to cover.  There are only 40MM shares.  Regardless of where the technology is or the status of the capital raise, when POET gets on the short squeeze radar, which is what I think happened yesterday, all heck could break loose to the upside.  Think MVIS, AMC, GME.  Yes, I'm talking kaboom.   I got a boatload of calls in place over the past week at giveaway prices anticipating just such a reaction along with a still large cache of shares with enough dry powder to help the squeeze along.  Now to assist, posts need to be made on the reddit and stocktwits boards alerting all interested traders to the current set up.
