WOW WHAT A GATHERING WE HAD! Optica’s Industry Summit on Photonics-enabled Cloud Computing has just concluded. I’m now on the plane home, but from all the feedback I’ve had, I think everyone was happy with the whole event. We welcomed more than 200 executives and leaders in the heart of Silicon Valley at Juniper Networks’ Aspiration Dome. I was particularly pleased with the contributions from the brilliant scaleups who shared their breakthrough concepts during the Inspired Solutions Session 4 on Wednesday. We heard from Peter Winzer of Nubis Communications, Rebecca Schaevitz. Lightmatter, David Lazovsky, Celestial AI, Ana González, iPronics Programmable Photonics, Chris Pfistner, Avicena Tech, and Yaniv Ben-Haim from NewPhotonics. Thanks also to Melissa Kallos, from the Advanced Photonics Coalition for their support in making this a truly memorable gathering. Watch the video below to hear my three main takeaways. And check out what my Optica colleague Pouya Dianat, PhD, concluded https://lnkd.in/eUQub9Pn. I know that we must keep talking, both at the Optica Executive Forum at the next OFC Conference and at PECC 2024 at Synopsys Inc HQ. Note that this meeting was not recorded to encourage frank and open discussion. But Optica Corporate members CAN access the presentation slides from the PECC Summit 2023. If you’re not yet a part of the fastest-growing global photonics association, then drop me a personal message here on LinkedIn for membership details. We’d love to welcome you on board.
