Globalization, in some form, is inevitable. The largest corporations now influence politics so profoundly, and information moves almost instantly, such that arbitrary borders are meaningless. Whoever controls the data flow, will control the masses.

In a not too distant future, if wars are fought and armed forces financed, they will be corporate, not nation state.
