It boggles the mind Oz. My son who lives just outside of Shanghai was in an accident with his scooter just before Christmas. He tells us routinely whenever he is home that the rules of the road are not followed. And we tell him routinely to be careful! I must say though that I was very impressed with the progressive level of hospital care and surgical competence that he was provided to repair his broken wing.
If autonomous vehicles can navigate the city streets in China then I think we are on a path to widespread use in the tamer environments of the rest of the modern world. Except maybe those roundabout in the UK.
