"Analysts at Technavio, a technology research and advisory company, have forecast the GaAs wafer market will grow at a CAGR close to 13 percent between 2016 and 2020, according to their latest report.

They have highlight the increasing adoption of smartphones; rising penetration of LEDs in general lighting; and need for increased network bandwidth as the three main contributing factors."
