Sulasailor: I did in retrospect feel that I had been somewhat too forward in my suggestion and thank you for your positive response.Suffering the chastisement of other Agoracom posters was not a pleasant feeling

Your suggestion is quite okay for me. As an Aspie, I take statements at face value (if that's the correct term, ha, ha) and won't detect any subliminal messages. The good thing is that I also don't detect a subliminal message that isn't there. ;-)

Sulasailor: It's just that my long experience with my German friend Ursula is that she enjoys using Linda and I as a test bed for common English usage. I thought that you too may wish to use us in this way.

Yes, I can imagine that this would work fine! Personally, I'd rather like to be pointed to poor or wrong wordings. Please feel free to do so! You won't run any risk of me getting insulted. On the contrary, I'd appreciate to learn!

Sulasailor: I enjoy your posts on Facebook re the nuclear industry and you my be interested to know that my son Dafwithav is considering a post at Hinkley Point, if Teresa May comes to terms with the pros and cons to give the go ahead.

That would be great! Is Dafwithav a nuclear professional or would that be a construction job? A German friend of mine who is working in the nuclear industry is also eying a job at Hinkley Point C. His interest in doing decommissioning work in Germany is rather limited, to say the least.

I think that Theresa May will ponder the options and find that the alternatives are a) building Hinkley Point C or b) suffering from power shortage. At the moment, the EPR is the only reactor type licensed in the UK and there is only a single vendor, so that cannot be changed. All she could do it try to find another investor taking the Chinese stake (very unlikely) or to use taxpayers' money (unlikely).
