a great story on my dog walk this morning.. My dog walking buddy was Marianne this morning ,a German lady that is living here in Peachland for the past 20 years.. Anyway, some German friends got a hold of her and asked her if she could put this lady ,Heidi , up for a day or so.. It turns out Heidi is driving a 1930 Hudson around the world and she has just started driving across Canada here in BC..I think the car is all original as she has to stop twice a day and spray water on the spoked wheels so don`t get too dry as they are made from wood..Heidi is 78 years old and travels by herself !! Gutzy lady !!! She will drive across Canada then down into the US ending up in Florida where she will have her car shipped to South America where she begin driving again, then shipped to South Africa, I think Marianne said.. She had a Opal (the car) dealership in Berlin so I expect that is where the money came from..Marianne showed me pictures on her phone of her husband under the car setting her brakes and Heidi was in her cover-alls under the hood checking out the engine..
