A University of Connecticut bus was engulfed in flames Saturday as frantic students on a senior trip managed to escape with nary a mark on them.
The blaze erupted on the Massachusetts Turnpike about 60 miles west of Boston, ABC News reported.
The bus was about 15 minutes into the trip when student Ashley Vollmer said she saw smoke. The students were bound for a cruise departing Boston.
The driver pulled onto the side of the road, but then resumed the journey, she said.
