Not sure if you know this but Justin Trudeau is running for PM of Canada on a platform which includes legalizing it in Canada. To be honest I don't think he's given any thought to the rest of his platform, but it's still early. He's pandering obviously, but it will be interesting to see how this promise will affect the results of the federal election. Right now it seems his stance on pot is actually hurting him, but polls have been notoriously bad at predicting election results lately - probably because of how they collect the data as people begin to shift from hard lines to unlisted cell phones as their primary numbers.
