"Oct 17th, Mentech Optical & Magnetic (002902.SZ) stated on the investor interaction platform that the 1.6T optical module has officially entered the research and development phase. Currently, the difficulty faced is the industry chip shortage, and the company is actively addressing the related issues."

 

That's good news for Poet, Nodrog16, and it all adds up.

Mentech Technology has recently selected POET Technologies to supply optical engines for their 800G and 1.6T optical modules
