Suresh had a  team of 50 (world class) people working on the first Mitsubishi 200G EML laser integration into the POET Optical Interposer in time for OFC. They did this in 5 months from start to finish.. Now with that experience they are working to integrate the new Mitsubishi 400G EML laser into a chip set. There is no doubt in my mind that the POET platform is uniquely capable to implement this build. I really have no idea how this could be achieved or how long it would take in a traditional silicon photonics package given the amount of time it takes to implement any new element into a monolithic system.
