IMO what most people outside haven't understood yet with the new situation :
They mean with POET there is just another tranceiver supplier,
regardless of whether it is 800G, 1.6T or 3.2T ...
They don't understand (or care about) the difference between a
traditionally made tranceiver and one made with POET's Interposer.
Like before (~50 years ago) where there were individual
transistors, resistors, capacitors used at PCB's and
then the integrated circuits (IC) came and revolutionized everything.
Now it is the same very similar situation again.
This is my view at least.
Not to mention the advantages of POET's technic with :
Less space
Less power consumption
Less heat generation
Less costs
Less latency
More speed
And can be used universally as a platform on top.
For network infra structure or chip-to-chip communication e.g.
And I'm sure Suresh has a lot of ideas - an optical memory may be ?
At some point they'll all figure it out.
And bite yourself in the ass (sorry) for not having figured it out sooner.
