You are right Fair, best-of-breed components will eventually get integrated with the POET Optical Interposer platform in a manner that can scale.
Don't forget that there is a need for POET to get the best component makers, sush as Mitsubishi Electric's EML laser, to test and validate the platform. POET also have colloboration with other notable aser-maker (Lumentum, InSiga, etc) but Mitsubishi Electric seems to be the absolute best.
The break-out in demand for 800G and 1.6T datatasceivers is happening as confirmed by the article I referenced about Mitsubishi Electric which needs to double their output of EML-lasers.
The whole supply chain foundations for POET-based transceivers are getting better and better in 2024 and it seems to me that the datacenter transceivers heavyweight players (both Components-makers and module-makers) are quickly waking-up to the advantages of POET's platform versus conventionnal optics.
