They selected POET’s optical engines for its 800G and 1.6T optical transceiver modules.

POET expects to complete the design of the optical engines for FIT by Q3 2024 and start optical engine production at its joint venture, Super Photonics Xiamen, by Q4 2024.

The Q4 timeframe had Celestial AI earmarked for production, but unstated delays with CAI's readiness have put that on a back burner for now.

Two different speeds, and production in the millions is a suitable replacement.
