I believe POET will hit a point where a flood of companies will say "Oh well, if Foxconn, Luxshare, and all those bigs are buying through those channels and the SHINE center is cranking out new parts that test on the POET OI then maybe it's time to join 'em.
This is Suresh's vision, to have a chip for lots of applications to build on, a place to put the "known good parts". It snowballs. It will take some solid orders to validate this premise. Right now it just looks like POET is some kind of lab experiment getting blue ribbons for "design wins". We have sore hands from clapping and sore posteriors from waiting.
No one ever sold a part without a design win first, so there is lots of smoke. Let's see the fire!
