QSFP-DD-800G-FR8L QSFP-DD 800G FR8 PAM4 CWDM8 2km DOM Duplex LC SMF Optical Transceiver Module

I went to the Fiber Mall website and found 800G products like the one above. Prices for various 800G modules ranged from $6,000 to $11,200. I think it's great that POET is going to make and sell them. What I don't understand is how what they have done is a breakthrough if they are for sale now from this supplier.

Is POET making better modules like this, or cheaper and better?

Maybe they are so expensive because they are hand made in clean rooms?

Is it that they have a path to 3.2TB and these don't?
