Ya, even if he means he bought the shares to transfer into his TFSA after Jan.1/24, it doesn't matter.....CRA deems you to have sold the shares on the day of transfer (not the initial purchase price) and re-bought them in your TFSA.

I was hoping to get some moved over next week for around 1.25 but that's suddenly looking doubtful...not that there's anything wrong with that.... :)
