So far customers have been those companies requesting specific layout of the optical engine (custom designs) for integration into their modules (incurring delays)  What POET needs to do (and is doing) is build advanced high data modules in order to take advantage of TSV's in the most efficient manner rather than pad placement associated with inefficient wire bonding. Remove the variability of each module maker's designs and optimize for end users.

This will come into play as required in future configurations for new applications such as biometrics.
