Why we are where we are.

It's crazy how a price storm like that clears your vision. I was definitely no longer objective with POET, but too believing and hopeful. Bad strategy.
Nobody needs to come to me with declarations of secrecy, something is going on behind the scenes, they can't be that stupid etc. anymore. They simply have nothing to announce. If I should come up with something like that any time, give me a slap on the cheek.
Poet has one big problem: no deals.
We all think the technology is gigantic, but somehow they haven't managed to capitalize on it yet:
1. investors
- Going public on Nasdaq without a partner, without a capital increase - missed opportunity or did no one want to participate?
- The moment of the best share price was not used for a capital increase, but a few shares were sold privately. Destroyed opportunity.
- ATM financing did not work, nobody seemed to want to buy shares. There was no interest because the prospects were unclear (communication problem?).
- Current financing, which currently only leaves you with question marks and is very reminiscent of 2016.
2. industry
- When I read POET's publications: Everyone cheers about how great the technology is but almost no customers really want to take it up.
- SV says himself: The big players have problems buying POET because large tankers can only turn slowly.
- But the small ones aren't coming to POET that numerous either.
- POET reacts (desperately?) and wants to produce modules itself. But you don't hear anything more about that either.
- AI is heralded as the new savior because there is a relationship customer. Let's hope they stay on board.
- We don't hear any updates on how the few deals are going.
- No production partner outside China in sight.
It's not just Mika's fault, he can only get money if the prospects are seen as good by all external parties. But that's not the case. Everyone who doesn't sign contracts is involved: SV, Rajgarhia, Kankipati.
In my opinion, the technique is worth many times the current market value. And I assume that POET can still make something out of it. POET has already shown that they can do deals: BB Photonics, Denselight, Sanan.
That's why I still hold my shares; until the situation changes significantly, I won't be adding any new ones.
