Excuse my naivete but Poet Management is certainly not going to explain it to me (or to you)....So I have to try to figure this out myself or have someone on this board try to explain it to me.
From the release
"The Offering consists of common shares of the Company and warrants to purchase common shares and is subject to market conditions. There can be no assurance as to whether or when the Offering may be completed, or as to the actual size, pricing or other terms of the Offering. In addition, POET intends to grant the underwriter a 45-day option to purchase up to an additional 15 percent of the number of common shares and/or warrants offered in the U.S. Offering.
Maxim Group LLC is acting as sole book-running manager for the U.S. Offering."
If Poet management is not going to set the price of the offering then who is? Is Maxim Group given a blank check to sell $10 million dollars worth of our shares for whatever price they want and to whomever they want? Have they started already in the open market?
I may be way off base here but if our company is not going to talk to me (or to you} and explain it to us then that is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. I may not be too bright when it comes to this stuff, (I'm not a lawyer, not an accountant ) but I sure as heck don't like to see my investment put out there with a bracket (unknown share price) for someone else to fill in the blank, and then Poet, our company, ignore any request to explain it to me. It just reeks of a dozen words I'm not allowed to place here. T
