I don't think you should be criticised 54-40. You make a sound argument for a change and haven't resorted to personal attacks, which is what we often get when this subject is raised. I don't know about you, but it appears TM has been taken out of the firing line (pun intended) recently.
His role as CFO should not involve being the public face of the organisation, which it was for a while. He should be making sure the accounts run smoothly and putting the company on sound financial footing. Which he appears to have done to a reasonable degree.
Not sure if things are different over here in the UK. But, the only CFO's I know have been the accountant types and not dynamic capital markets types. Perhaps what is required is not necessarily a change of CFO, but a new person with this experience in a different role.
That said, if TM is expected to be this person then he has so far flattered to deceive and perhaps he is on borrowed time. The BOD should be trusted to make this call though. Should this malaise continue much longer I don't think they'll have much choice.
