Dave, I would like to respond at least in part to your post criticizing me.
You made the following statement: Hearing your voice during the AGM solidified which shareholders management will interact with and why.
I was asked by Kevin if I would be amenable to making or seconding some corporate resolutions at the meeting?
My response was: I would be honored to participate in any way. Thanks for thinking of me.
Kevin has been very helpful in any dealings I have had with him and I was in fact honored to be asked. I would like to think that I have played an important role in helping this forum to understand some technical aspects and processes associated with POET. I don’t ask for clarification on anything that I know can’t be answered by management and is out of bounds. Everything I learn ends up on this forum for the benefit of everyone. And I believe that I was being recognized for this when I was asked.
You turned it into an insult and made assumptions of what. That I am in management's back pocket. Nothing could be further from the truth. I would have thought that someone of your background would have taken care in making assumptions based on such a circumstance. But you apparently don’t care about the truth. In my post I related that Adam accused slab of an awful thing in today's world. He accused slab of uttering death threats. As far as I am concerned that in itself should get him banned from this forum . But you defend that behavior and instead slam me for my post. Read over what I wrote. It had very little had to do with POET but it had everything to do with defending my friend who was unjustly accused of that despicable act.
And let me ask you a question. If someone was trying desperately to have you fired, would you not want to understand who that person was and why? Management can’t answer questions that are not in the public domain for good reasons. Adam has a habit of making assumptions and then smearing people with those assumptions. I have talked to you about this in the past in PM’s but still you apparently believe everything he says? I don’t get it.
Funny before all this started I wanted to talk about wafer size conversion. As was posted by macnai GlobalFoundries is investing US$4billion into expanding their 12 inch wafer fab in Singapore. At some point POET will migrate to 12 inch wafers which will increase economies of scale.
For example an 8 inch silicon wafer will fit roughly 500 6mm X 9mm die (chiplets). That number increases dramatically to just under 1200 die on a 12 inch wafer.
The 6.4T chiplet design with 2 layered waveguides 18mm X 18mm will fit just 69 of these chiplets on 8 inch wafer but that number increases to 181 using 12 inch wafers. The amount of waste drops significantly for wafer size conversion of the larger chiplet.
The equivalent of 1158 terabytes / second capacity from a single 12 inch wafer.
