MRIscan4u: However  I read on another board that ATMs are almost always followed up with a major announcement or some type of catalyst.

I can imagine management believed that the 200G per lane news were that catalyst.

However, they underestimated, weren’t even aware of, or disregarded how tired most investors are of technical news and how much they are longing for business success news.
