Buy and hold investors are great. But unless they are willing to buy more, it will not derail the traders. It's continuous volume buying that will negate the traders' effect.
The traders will be around on days the stock has a good run, and they will sell it off in the last hour or so. But when the time comes that they can't get back in cheaply, they will either go away, or hold the stock if they like Poet's prospects.
Since I believe many of the traders reside on Agoracom, and trade but a small percentage of their holdings, they will merely stop with the trading share portion of their Poet holdings. Perhaps they'll sell calls against those trading shares, thus generating some income.
