I think what Mosfet posted on the Reddit chat is relevant to Poet.

 

"being an engineer myself I understand how difficult and long the hardware sales cycle is.

When you sell someone a piece of hardware, that person is relying on it to build their things and it cannot be updated on-the-fly like software. That means the due diligence and testing involved is very extensive, and often takes longer than expected as there is a lot of back and forth in the design process. That is why the "release to production" NR was so important, it means our partners have agreed on a final design that they will use in their own production."

 

I believe these design wins are key and  will lead to sales for the entire cycle of the product, 4-5 perhaps even 8-9 years in some cases.
