I disagree with the idea that people like Suresh should just reside as CTO.

Pat Gelsinger is through and through an engineer and he is now tasked with reviving Intel from the hands of Bob Swan, a Peter Copetti type executive.

In the same vein, Suresh has revived POET from the dead with the OI platform. Give the man time to execute, we are almost there.

However, I share the sentiment that something is not right about POET. How could it be that a revolutionary technology, which already has many companies designing it in within their products (ADVA, Luxshare, etc.), fail to attract funding from notable institutional investors? Recall Celestial AI's list of investors: Temasek (Singapore's wealth fund), imec, Koch Disruptive Technologies, etc. How could POET not able to attract one in a funding round? Given their sizes, a small cheque could mean getting rid of POET's "going concern" wording in the quarterly, greatly increasing shareholder value and ensuring the company's staying power.
