Yes, this is an analogy I used about 20 years ago and I think you are absolutely right. The stock market is as crooked as it gets and the powers that be (government included) have absolutely no concern for the retail investor except to $crew us whenever they can. Do something about it, just as well to knock your head up against a brick wall.

Shorts should never be allowed and never mind this bull about the market not being able to operate without it.
