I don't think there is any need. The waveguide work in Ottawa was the first step required to perfect the waveguide design. That is long since completed but who knows. Suresh advised during the “Oppenheimer 5G Summit: The Revolution Continues” that a second facility outside of China will be utilized for 800G and 1.6T this year. Singapore,US, Canada... who knows but I do like their plan to diversify production and distribution of their advanced application. SPX will continue to be used as a subcontractor for advanced applications but who knows what the future holds. Licensing may well be in the equation.

Re: Lumentum. One point that should be emphasized regarding suppliers/component partnerships is the fact that POET’s objective/strength is to select the best of breed components. It is a strength that has significant advantages. They have an entire ecosystem to choose the best qualified components to meet their customers needs. And I suspect that the Tier 1 customer(s) have great influence in this selection.
