Baboriley: "The problem is, there isn't sufficient buying interest to allow such sales without the share price moving down. "
Absolutely! Volume has been bad. Today at Noon Pacific Time the NASDAQ Volume for POET is only about 18,000 and the average daily volume is only about 32,000.
Volume hasn't really indicated that POET is a "Mover and a Shaker" on the NASDAQ and stocks that have a low volume are disproportionately affected by small volume changes, Up or Down. POET is no different.
Baboriley: "Lots of them are over 60 and own (too) many shares. Sometimes people need money. Selling Poet stock is one way to raise it, especially if there's not much else to sell. "
It has been more than a night or two since I was 60 years young, but I probably fit into that category you are describing. I'm sure there is room for many more members in that same Geezer Boat you describe. In truth, however, there are more leaky boats out there on the Investor Sea. Not all of those boats are reserved for Geezers. Each boat has its own reason or reasons for having a lowered resistance to selling their POET shares. It is what it is.
This Geezer holds, so far anyway, to Admiral Faraguts exhortation at the Battle of Mobile Bay: "Damn the Torpedoes! Full Speed Ahead!!"
Torpedoes can be translated in 2022 terms to mean: Damn Poor Stock Share Prices!!
GLA to ALL of us in our individual SS POET boats.
