Shash: The North American tier one deal with POET did go south some time ago and the company released this info via NR or Suresh chat, can't remember which now, but it's in the archives here. POET could not meet the ever changing requirements this customer kept issuing.

I don’t remember any announcement like this, i. e., that the deal “did go south” – whatever this exactly might mean in business terms. What I do remember is

• that the customer has ever changing requirements and
• that at a certain point in time a particular modulator (or modulator/EML combo?) didn’t suit the customer’s needs, so the project could not proceed until that problem was resolved.

According to Suresh’s recent video, they now have an adequate modulator available and are even working on a DML alternative. That means that the project should be able to continue as soon as the successful integration could be demonstrated. At least that’s my understanding, which might be wrong.
