If a "double from here" is still a tiny fraction of where it can be in a couple years, will the greed of the institutions be so overcome by the shame of not having sufficiently choked the retail investor as painfully as they could have so as to "pass" on the slightly lower (but still significant) gains of the next few years? 

Will their pride be so wounded as to be permanently unswallowable?
