Bottom line, everything I see coming out of the company in terms of technical achievements points clearly to this platform being the solution that EVERYONE needs. I think it is going to grow very quickly into a major company. Time to relax a bit:)
That was part of an email response I gave to a very long term POET friend this morning.
I am not surprised at all by the alleged difficulties Rockley is having meeting Apple's requirements. Conventional silicon photonics simply can't be stretched that far. POET is athermal and that is a huge advantage when talking about variable ambient conditions for a wearable device or phone or anything that is portable. No wasting the battery trying to stabilize the temp or trying to move photons efficiently. POET has out-of-plane capabilities that match the in-plane insertion numbers of .5db. There are just so many advantages that I think they can quickly provide any application for sensing or data.
