My take on Mikas presentation:

It was a good presentation. Mika performed well. Suresh tends to get way to technical, that would have been counter productive with the given audience. He was competent, clear, on point, positive.

The roadmap (minute 13) showed that everything is on track, compared to the last presentations. The 100G/200G-product Betas are shipped in HY1, production will start in HY2. The 400G/Lightbar products will follow half a year later. How long will beta testing last? "…after 3-6 months reliability testing [...] we expect purchase orders".

Maybe I am wrong but I expect only small orders this year. From small companies or from big companies that make a soft entry. The big players will place big orders when they see that others overtake them or that their soft entry works well. That fits to POETs growing planned numbers into 2025.

At the end he was quite insightful:

"We are a bit delayed ... covid and supply chain issues ... by about 2 quarters". The first time I heard it that precise. Something I can live with.

And he said something like „We went to Nasdaq via direct listing … starting to reach out for Instituional Investors … More important is being covered by Analysts because that´s crucial for Institutional Investors to come. That´s our focus now“ Or words to that effect. I agree to this mindset, no matter that it seems quite late to do so.

As an answer at the end he said: Celestial AI pays for the development of the AI-platform whereas Poet uses own money for a feasability study on health monitoring. I read this as wearables are far from being around the corner. I don´t see substantial news coming in the next months here. LIDAR is even more far away from now, no activities here it seems. POET has to restrict itself and the chronological order clearly is: Transcievers – AI – Health Monitoring – LIDAR.
