The incuments have their set successful ways. They are on an evolutionary path in order to keep their position in their ecosystems. They may well be interested in exploring Poets OI technology, but they will do it in their R&D departments rather than risking a failure in their ecosystem by adopting a revolutionary system that may fail.

The reason I say that is Suresh is going to short circuit the entire industry with his "Sling Shot"  400 DML laser solution. The reason I believe is that it mitigates the new tech risk because the 100/200 market is all DML transceiver based right now already, he's just going to extrapolate it up to 800g and 1.6T when needed.
