I am not sure if I understand you. If I have 1000 to invest. I can buy 1000 divided by the shareprice. I won't have more money to invest, just because there are less shares.

1000 / 0,6 = 1667 shares

1000 / 6,0 = 167 shares.

 

Therefore the volume will logically drop by the same factor, as people won't have more money due to the split.
