It's no surprise that Celestial AI get more attention. It's not even due to our past. It simply is that "AI" is "sexy" just like "wearables" etc.

POET has "a part of a part of a part" enabling the progress of those "sexy things". The OI is not a showcase item to the public. Cars are of interest to many, but who remembers the inventor of the rear view mirror or the electric windshield wiper? Manufacturers of those items get their value from being indispensible parts of "sexy things" but were never heralded publicly as disruptive, 'though they are standards today that noone wants to do without.

In the long run you may be even be better off supplying windshield wipers to the whole industry than to be in the war between Tesla, Toyota and Volkswagen, so don't be overly envious. Always remember: it was the shovel makers that survived the Goldrush and Levi's is still around...
