While stock markets occasionally make sense when you look at valuations, for the most part individaul stocks as well as the market seem to be irrationally overvalued or undervalued based on the current mood. I have no idea when Poet will show the value we think it should have, but its genuine business success will prevent it from going to zero, and eventually it'll catch the market's eye, one way or another. I have no doubt that going on the Nasdaq will increase that chance, but the when and how is beyond me. I actually think its beyond any of you, as well, which is why I am far more interested in understanding the tech and whether it has significant competition or not.
Eventually all companies will have their day when they reach what seems a sensible valuation, but by then they may well be irrationally priced much higher for a while as well. Management itself seemed surprised at the low valuation, as are many here, but there is nothing for it but to wait, and potentially to add more. Until then, we just wait. Why get angry when people make their predictions, high or low? The real question is how well the business will perform, what kind of money it can make, and that gives us a ball park. From that level, we will no doubt see the stock price undershoot, overshoot, rinse and repeat.
I was glad to see someone at Motley Fool notice our company, and if ever Poet gets a recommendation by them, I think the overshoot may happen shortly after. Hopeful and trying to wait patiently.
