They have a tangible product. They have initial orders. There are shortages in the chip sector right now. Hopefully this prompts some changes in POET's favor and things will continue to bloom.
The road has been long, but I suspect if we weathered those days, most here won't be going anywhere until we see bust or boom. Preferably the latter.
Most of the arguments here stem from our impatience with being patient. Which is fair.
Who knew it would take so many years. Dr. Geoff Taylor dedicated so many of his own life to stabilize the technology. Retiring with the words:
"The company is now on the verge of successful growth under its new leadership and I believe is well positioned to produce critical prototypes necessary for POET to be recognized as a leader in the data communications market. I have every confidence that this will be accomplished by the new management in place and I am closely monitoring the progress as they move forward with their demonstrations.”
That was over 5 years ago, after decades of working with the technology.
That man has patience. :)
The company has produced protoypes. Is becoming more recognized in the data communications market. Sales are starting to come in. We're getting there.
