In the case of number one, what drives the timing of "writing the check"?

Wouldn't you have done it already? Why wait until the warrants almost expire? Wouldn't all those checks be written, and the only poeple still holding would be those who have to sell some shares to cover the cost?

I have no experience writing such checks--but looking forward to it someday!
