Re: "Breeze67 is right when he says that this friend obviously looks at Poet from a financial standpoint. He seems to know nothing about the platform tech, the disruptive metrics and the possibilities."
I think this is a very important statement, and highlights a couple of things.
1) Investors want to look into finances, and don't care so much about technology (and most do not understand it). Throughout the years, POET has made many statements about great advances in technology, but this has never translated to a significant SP appreciation. POET does mention finances, but typically something about years down the road, which just tells investors they have a lot more time to get into it.
2) IMO, POET has great leadership with technology, but not the capital markets. This has been obvious, and also likely has impacted the SP. Mika is an improvement for sure, but they need more market experience. They certainly need this when they hit the NASDAQ, otherwise I feel POET (and us investors) will pay a dear price if they containue as they are. As much as the NASDAQ is clearly better, it can also be very punishing, not to mention POET better communicate all material information, much more important than on the current exchange.
Good luck!!
