As our designs for Optical Engines are realized in the form of Alpha samples that provide performance data to potential customers and Beta samples that those customers can test, demonstrating an ability to supply devices in volume is a challenge that must be met.

Let's delve into this a bit (maybe the discussion will be good for the board)...

Now given all the time it has taken for the OI to move from drawing board to near alpha samples, and given the utter necessity of POET delivering flawlessly, what is the likelihood that a "volume manufacturing test" has already been done, not once, but in triplicate or greater? and with every possible variable that could, would, or should be tried, to account for any possibility of even the smallest variance in manufacturing circumstances (whatever those might be) - so that we can literally hit the ground running, with maximum (or even perfect) yield once the signed Purchase Order is received?
