Message: New POET R&D Director

All these "minor" ups and downs of the last few days - are just the usual noise we know for long. They are the waves of the blue ocean we are heading at.

I am here to surf the big wave coming.

So please let us focus on this future!
This finding here, of CelestialAI, seems to be one of the big waves. Which of the companies of this realm of POET is a Stealth Mode Startup and did not announce their president up to now?
WinkWink, yes, CelestialAI.

"I’m writing to announce that I recently resigned from my position as CTO of Optical Subsystems at Nokia.

This is the end of a journey that started with SLS, the world’s first silicon photonics design services company. SLS was acquired and transformed first into Coriant Advanced Technologies and then into Elenion. Then, in 2020, Elenion was acquired by Nokia. I’m proud to say that the Elenion team developed several generations of groundbreaking coherent and datacenter products, advancing the state of the art in every generation. It has been a privilege to work with these brilliant engineers, scientists, and operators. I am confident that the team will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Now that the Elenion team has been integrated into Nokia, they’re continuing to do amazing things: Coherent transceivers are basically radios operating at 200 THz, sending data through the fibers that are the bones of the internet. When Covid hit us, the long-line and metro networks didn’t crash, didn’t stumble. That’s because of the incredible engineering done by places like Nokia and their customers.

As for my plans: I’ve decided to join as President at a stealth mode startup that is developing the next revolutionary application of silicon photonics. Stay tuned."

The CTO of a 30 Billion USD company is joining a tiny startup, - where did we hear that again?
Something big is brewing! We can not invest here, but somehow, we could already be a part of it.
