Great points Zim,
I also have to step back and remember the peril this company was in, has anyone ever had a loser, a company with promise that amounted to nothing in the end? I know I have, we have a fantastic management team here (for the most part), who am I to say to someone in the company that they cannot take some money (they earned by taking a reduced salary) and do whatever they want with it.
Let's flip it and say it you sold less than 2-8% of your holdings, (maybe you needed to pay down a mortgage or do some improvements around your house, need a new car etc) how would you feel if people started to criticize you because they didn't like your timing? Also remember they'll have more options coming if the company continues to make progress in this incredible space they're in, photonics is a burgeoning industry while the other industries are on much shakier ground as people start talking about deflationary pressure coming (again)
Finally, let's also remember they didn't kill the momentum, they were selling as the volumes were heavy and the price action was moving up. We need management to be happy, if not, Intel, Inphi, Rockley or LWLG would certainly love to have them.
