Expressing fraustration is an understandable human emotion, but my limited understanding of the world of investment points to it not being a part of the rational of what to invest in.
Investing a high risk venture capital new technology firm like POET, whilst hindsight tells us we were all far to early, the rational that made us commit in the first place remains the enormous potential for growth that PTK represents. That has not changed. My belief is that it has been greatly enhanced and significantly increased by management actions over the long, but now clearly necessary, development period. That is once the switch was made from Gallanium Arsenide back in late 2015. If its of concern, then this was when delay occurred in the POET development plan.
Whilst I hear the frustration regarding delay and lack of chips, it seems there is a case, laid out by management, that it will not affect production plans for a ramp up in early 2022 that keeps us within the planned time frame set out. Regardless of this surely given the unique circumstances the World finds itself resulting from the pandemic, the rational approach is to accept that here will be effects but trust that the management of: POET Siltera, and Super Photonics, can act jointly to minimise these effects whilst retaining the ability to win contracts that is being enhanced by the clear advantages that the cost and performance envelope the POET Optical Interposer represents to its burgeoning market.
Your Fraustration then should not blind you to the fantastic opportunity that POET still represents.
Personally I think people need to get a grip of their irrational emotions and show more trust in our management based on their significant and soon to be physically visible achievements with the POET OI.
The recent surge in SP was clearly affected by the more enthusiastic efforts made here, as Baba mentioned. Such a surge, if it is to be repeated, needs to be synchronised with management efforts which have been clearly signalled and are not too far off.
We therefore seem to be on the cusp of a big management push that we need to support as shareholders. It's really not the time for a self indulgent dip in morale, the brave hearts that led you to invest in such a high risk venture as POET are needed NOW!
