Why a competitor ansalysis of POET is a off topic in POET forum?

You are right NeoPhotonics seem to sell only the complete transceiver products. But does that not only mean that they are active a bit higher value chain? As far as I read they do their own optical engines with a so called Adcanced Hybrid Phtotonic Integration Technology (e.g. InP on Si and the combination of other common semiconductor materials) and they are using manufacturing facilites in US, Japan and Shenzhen (China). I think, that sound simular to what POET is doing.

I was more interested in the difference between the two Integration Technolgies. 

If someone could help to clarify on that would be fine. I only try to understand the difference. If not, your are right it is maybe the wrong forum.
