Bikeman I do agree that Venture stocks rise on news. In addition to rising on news they are event-driven since there is no significant revenue to support rising share prices. There is an important 'intangible' that drives tech stocks up too. Once analysts understand the scope of Poet's opportunities and scope of its markets and the fact that it is currently disruptive, then the stock price will soar in anticipation of capturing those markets. Poet needs more analysts on board rather than weekly news. Getting to the senior TSE and/or Nasdaq would be part of that setting since there are analysts ready to greet Poet upon arrival.
Weekly news releases are not good as all news releases would not have the same cause and effect depending on their content. It would pressure Poet to come up with "ideas' for a news release and those ideas would come across as "promotion". I would rather see Poet in the position to have news releases supported by 'names' in whatever way possible. Perhaps, if Poet ultimately is in any Broadcom, Nvidia, or Cisco products, then those companies might have a sticker on their products that say "Photonics by Poet' (or similar). Maybe Poet needs to be written about in more industry magazines, the kind of magazines that "industry analysts' usually read?
Just my thoughts.
