Agreed, the volatility of pennystocks is generally much higher. However, I am not referring so much to individual price movements on days or weeks, but rather to the long-term changes in the price level and, above all, the fundamentals that justify such changes. Everything else is psychology, awareness, and market size.
I am probably too much the mathematical, rational, logical type. I know that such psychological effects exist, and I try to take them cognitively into account – and sometimes even with some success.
