My sense is that the price and volume action has been largely the result of a lot of new people being exposed to POET in the last month or so and that exposure is increasing day by day at this point. A and B, have told C, D, E, and F about it, and now we're working our way through the alphabet. Have we reached that "critical mass" of investors and followers that will serve to maintain interest and momentum in this stock? If we haven't, I think we're close.
Even those that have the smallest understanding of what POET is all about, can appreciate our very low market cap. And when a beat the horse to death discussion of a potential R/S doesn't derail a stock, that is very bullish in my eyes. I can only conclude that lots of the new investors want this stock on the NAS and very much sooner than later.
Does the sharp surge of the last six or so trading days have something to do with the anticipation of imminent good news? Certainly some of the increased price and volume can be attributed to that. Will it be the metrics or something else? I really don't have a sense of whether some news is imminent, and, if so, what the subject of that news might be, but I do have a sense that a whole lot more folks know about POET now than did on the first of the year.
Expect continued volatility; we've been on the happy side of volatility lately, but remember that there are two sides to it. Either can be your ally.
